From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.
~ Karl Marx, “Critique of the Gotha Program” (1875)
If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.
~ President Barack Obama (2012)
When President Obama goes off prompter, he usually tells truth … at least the “truth” as he sees it. Obama’s quote above not only reminds me of Karl Marx, the father of socialism and communism, moreover, his arrogant, anti-business, anti-capitalism screed reminds me of the words of Thomas Jefferson who wisely said, “A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have.” Perhaps that’s why so many Marxists and socialists professors and liberal teachers are rewriting and revising history today, because they don’t want the voting public to be knowledgeable about the truth of history, politics and economics. Why? Hitler’s minister of propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, said it best: “Truth is the enemy of the State.”
Here is Obama’s quote from that Marxist rant against American enterprise and free-market capitalism he delivered two weeks ago:
“If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business. you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.”
In a Marxist worldview, government, or the State, is infinitely more important than people. Obama and the Democratic Socialist Party’s Marxist understanding will be made possible by the socialist promise of economic and societal utopia where there is an abundance of goods and services (“from each according to his abilities …”) that a developed socialist society will use to provide everyone’s needs (“… to each according to his needs”). The idea is that, with the full development of Western Marxism or scientific socialism and unrestrained productive forces, everyone’s needs will be satisfied in an egalitarian fashion.
That is a lie from the very pit of hell.
Although the Marx epigram is popularly attributed to the father of communism, he did not originate the phrase. The slogan was not only a common mantra of the socialist movement in the 19th century, it was first used in an 1839 book by Louis Blanc called “The Organization of Work.” Also, the phrase may have been inspired by the work of the French utopian Étienne-Gabriel Morelly, whose 1755 work, “Code of Nature,” mentions “Sacred and Fundamental Laws that would tear out the roots of vice and of all the evils of a society.” These include:
Nothing in society will belong to anyone, either as a personal possession or as capital goods, except the things for which the person has immediate use, for either his needs, his pleasures, or his daily work.
Every citizen will be a public man, sustained by, supported by and occupied at the public expense.
Every citizen will make his particular contribution to the activities of the community according to his capacity, his talent and his age; it is on this basis that his duties will be determined, in conformity with the distributive laws.
40th Anniversary – Forward to the victory of Communism
Morelly’s principles were a direct assault on private property, individual liberty, free enterprise, Natural Law and God. Under the Morelly/Marx paradigm, God is dead – materialism and the State become god.
History has borne out Morelly and Marx’s diabolical ideas in American history. Pick any grand, utopian, liberal, humanist, progressive, or socialist policy over the past 112 years – Theodore Roosevelt’s “Square Deal,” Woodrow Wilson’s “Statolatry” (state worship), FDR’s “New Deal” and welfare-state policies of the 1930s and ’40s, Truman’s “Fair Deal,” LBJ’s “Great Society,” Nixon’s EPA, Carter’s Department of Education, Clinton’s failed attempt at universal health care, or President Obama’s neo-socialist, Keynesian policies contained in Obamacare today. In other words, these progressive presidents followed Mussolini’s famous fascist slogan of 1923 – Everything in the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State.
While Obama and the Democratic Socialist Party today may not be doctrinaire Marxists, they are indeed socialists and belong to a political strand of Marxist-Leninism euphemistically referred to as “Western Marxism” and “Cultural Communism.”
Unlike Bolsheviks – who systematically and systemically utilize terrorism and violent tactics to obtain absolute power, progressing from democracy or monarchy to then impose socialism as a stepping stone towards communism – Western Marxists like Obama exploit the trappings natural to democracy to contrive getting elected and then mercilessly exploit the reins of political power. Next, Western Marxists seek to immediately institute a torrent of radical reforms, regulations and legislation, thus propelling society inevitably into a welfare state, socialism and, if feasible, toward communism.
President Obama is a Western Marxist, a Western Leninist, that is, one of those who are known also generally as a Cultural Communists. According to Antonio Gramsci, a Marxist political theorists, once power is seized, the mask comes off and the ruler and his socialist minions revert back to their Bolshevik roots, as needed and, even, as convenient. Fomenting economic, political, religious, social and cultural chaos is key to maintaining his grip on power.
